The frog-spoon-shaped (Alismatales) are an order plants. They are the only order of the frog spoon something similar (Alismatidae). The frog-spoon-shaped are excluding aquatic plants (salt, Brack and fresh water) or inhabitants of swampy locations. They form therefore ecologically a very closed group.

Description

Characteristics appear frequently up, one as "originally" designation, for example with them:

• Gynoeceum nearly always still chorikarp with schraubig arranged
• Follicles or from ever a Fruchtblatt
• Plazentation laminal to submarginal
• numerously
• no tracheae or in primitive form only in the roots

Besides arise however characteristics also derived, as for instance endospermlose seeds and trinucleate polling grains; also the Polyandrie was already assumed as secondary. Over chemical characteristics little is well-known, medicine and useful plants is missing this correct.
