Friedrich Josef Maria Berentzen (* 11 September 1928 in is a German liquor manufacturer. He discovered the apple grain as independent product.

Life

Friedrich Berentzen was born 1928 as the secondaryoldest of nine children of the Johannes Bernhard Berentzen (1899-1954). It studied immediately after the end of the Second World War chemistry at the technical university Darmstadt. During this time the catholic became member of the K.D.St.V. Nassovia Darmstadt in the CV. Further it is member of the K.D.St.V. Rheno Bavaria Cologne in the CV, the K.D.St.V. Asgard (Duesseldorf) to Cologne in the CV, the K.A.V. Suevia Berlin as well as the academic connection Cheruscia to in the CV.

he took over 1954 after the death of the father as well as his brother Hans Berentzen the line of the parental enterprise. 1958 created both with the Ems land beverages a second support leg within the range of the alcohol-free beverages. With the assumption of the Pepsi Cola concession for Germany this development was developed 1960. With his brother together the liquor entrepreneur developed the Berentzen Apfelkorn. This was celebrated 1976 as the most successful new introduction of a German Spirituose after the Second World War. 1988 took place among the brothers the fusion with Pabst & Richarz. It was to beginning of the 1990er of technical managing directors of the Berentzen group.

Friedrich Berentzen accompanied also after the union of the two exempt private companies the strategic switch positions. As only enterprise of the German liquor industry Hans and Friedrich Berentzen led the exempt private company 1994 to the stock exchange.

In the year 1976 he discovered the apple grain. Its idea was it to sell the popular party mixture of Weizenkorn with apple juice as finished product. That apple grain was the first product-finished Softspirituose and in Germany the most successful new introduction of a Spirituose since the Second World War.

Social commitment

When chairmen of many years of the association for local history (since 1956) it advanced the building of the local history museum (inauguration 1961) and the extension of the open air museum, for which old field citizen and farmhouses were bought up and transformed.
