Fred Lorz was an US-American sportsman. It made itself with attempted fraud a name: With the olympic plays 1904 in Saint Louis one denied to the marathoner the victory, because it put the kilometers back of 14 to 34 with the car. Its gasoline smell betrayed it thereby. Winner became then the American Thomas Hicks.

Thus it came that Fred Lorz until today is excluded from the olympic plays. The US-American federation did not have it however closed and so could Lorz 1905 the national championship win.
