Fred De Luca is an US-American entrepreneur. He is founder of the high-speed restaurant chain Subway.

As 17 of year old ones it looked for a pecuniary resource, which could finance it the medicine study. From Dr. Peter Buck, he received the advice to a friend of the family to open a sand yielding net curtain. He is an area simply to rent, build a Tresen and a few food buy. Thus the first Subway restaurant in Bridgeport opened, Connecticut on 28 August 1965.

In the year 2005 24,070 restaurants belonged to Franchisebetriebe in 84 countries, most of it to the chain. The gross income of the chain becomes estimated on annually 6.8 billion US Dollar. Thus it is behind Mc Donalds the second largest nearly Food chain of the world.
