The international one de l'Automobile (FIA) is the international roof federation of the automobile and/or the driver with seat in Paris. The federation was created on 20 June 1904 as Association international one automobiles of the club Reconnus (AIACR).
The goal of the combination of automobile clubs is the promotion of the automobile haven and the international motor traffic. The seat of the administration is Geneva. Present president of the FIA is the Britisher max of Mosley. The FIA has over 150 national member organizations in 118 countries, which represent approx. 100 million members. Germany will represent by the General German Automobile Association and the AvD.
Starting from the year 1922 the competence for the engine haven was transferred to the Commission Sportive international one (CSI). The later FISA ( international one you sport of automobiles) was integrated starting from 1993 again directly into the FIA. Representatively the German engine sport federation DMSB also of the DMV, which among other things issues licenses for running drivers in accordance with the FIA regulations, regulates the German engine haven.
The international sport law (ISG) was provided of the FIA and is maintained continuously by it. The important appendices in the FIA set of rules, in particular the appendix J, are a component of the ISG.
Admits is main the FIA as a controlling body of the world-wide automobile haven and by world championships publicized of their - in particular the world championships for drivers and technical designers, the Rallye world championship, delivered with Formel-1-Fahrzeugen, the route car world championship (World Touring Car Championship WTCC) and the former sports car world championship.
