Franz small (* 24 April 1854 in Vienna, "† 6 April 1926 ebenda) was a Austrian lawyer and politician.

Small Vienna habilitierte itself at the university, where it was from 1886 to 1891 also Kanzleidirektor. 1891 it was appointed into the Ministry of Justice. Small functioned between 1906 and 1908 as well as in the year 1916 as a Minister of Justice. 1919 he became undersecretary of state of the Foreign Office and was as a member of the Austrian peace delegation with the peace negotiations in Saint Germain. Admits became small in particular as an author of the judicial code of 1898. Also it caused innovations in the area of the commercial law and the protection of children and young people.

On 11 April 1924 the honour citizenry was lent to it of Vienna for its putistic achievements in the areas of the housing reform and the youth welfare service.
