Franz baron von Wertheim (* 12 April 1814 in Krems at the Danube, Lower Austria; "† 3 April 1883 in Vienna) was a Austrian Industrieller.

Life

As a son of a little wealthy buyer family on 12 April 1814 in Krems at the Danube born, after moving years in Germany, France, England he began 1841 with the production of tools in Krems. 1842 he transferred the manufacturing plants of the tool manufacturer Gruber to Vienna and new pin with Scheibbs (Eisenwurzenregion), which it transformed completely and which number of the workers doubled.
