Franz Heinrich Ziegenhagen (* 1753 in Strasbourg, "† 1806) was a German buyer and social utopian. It was educated in the spirit of the Pietismus, turned away however later from the protest anti-mash and became a radical religion critic. Although as a buyer successfully, Ziegenhagen dedicated itself again and again to literary attempts and educational plans.

Admit became its 1792 in Hamburg work theory from the correct relationship to the creation works, appeared, and by public of the same alone too alga mine , in which he described his utopian conceptions. The work was illustrated by Daniel Chodowiecki and supported by Mozart with a Kantate. For the spreading of this work and the conversion of the conceptions described therein Ziegenhagen sacrificed its entire fortune; Appeals at prince, universities and French national convention remained among other things without effect. After it admitted itself 1806 the final failure of its life's work, Ziegenhagen set become impoverished and office for association its life an end.
