The Franz Brozincevic & Cie. (FBW) in Wetzikon belonged to the most important trucks-- and motorbus manufacturers in Switzerland.

The 1892 into Switzerland Croat Franz Brozincevic immigrated built his first truck, which he called Franz for 1910 in Zurich. This was used by the Swiss post office. An international pioneer achievement succeeded to it 1911 with the first 5-Tonnen-Lastwagen with Kardanantrieb. 1916 were taken over the engine factory Wetzikon. Starting from 1918 in Wetzikon trucks and penalty under the label name FBW were manufactured.

1925 assigned a license to FBW at Henschel & son into Kassel for the production and the sales of FBW constructions abroad.

The company developed well; after the death of Franz Brozincevic in the year 1933 transferred its son Franz June. the management, two further brothers cooperated in the company.

During the Second World War vehicles for Swiss army were produced.

1972 began co-operation with Mitsubishi and the sales of Mitsubishi vehicles in Switzerland.

After the oil crisis the sales of commercial motor vehicles decreased/went back starting from 1974, 1978 FBW by the Oerlikon company was taken over.

1982 were united FBW with the Adolph sour AG to the commercial motor vehicle company Arbon & Wetzikon (NAW), to Daimler Benz were involved finally with 40%. 1985 left the last FBW the factory.
