Fourth is a German private station with section program, which went on 29 September 2005 on transmission and took in most similar cable systems as well as on Hotbird the program place from NBC Europe. By the spreading via cable and satellite (Astra 19.2 "° east) the program will thus reach about 28.5 million and approximately 80% of all German television households. The transmitter is in the possession of the US medium company NBC universal, which belongs again to 80% General Electric and to 20% Vivendi universal

Fourth is to show primarily "classical authors from many decades", Erstausstrahlungen is not to give it for the time being.

Receipt

The program is radiated in two versions. There is a version for the satellite direct receipt over Astra (similar and digital), on which 24 hours self-program is radiated. Spread for the similar cable receipt over Eutelsat Hotbird 13"° east digitally a second version, which shows the transmissions of the satellite version only from 10 to 5 o'clock, at other times however CNBC Europe transfers. Also a receipt by digital cable is possible. Legally seen is the cable version of the fourth still NBC Europe, even if it is marketed as FOURTH.

Program

Daily starting from 20:15 clock two features are shown, on weekend features around the clock. Besides it will give a produced DVD show and a cinema magazine moderated by Sabrina Staubitz. Beyond that there are also series like e.g. Knight Rider, Magnum, B.L. Stryker to see Simon & Simon etc.
