Ford Thunderbird the classical author of the American automotive manufacture is considered absolutely as one. It symbolized the 1960er in the USA years.

At the beginning the Thunderbird (1955-1957) was still another pure sporty two-seater and as competition to the Chevrolet Corvette was platziert. For the Thunderbird spoke at that time the V8-Motor, which the Corvette got only later. The large headlights were characteristic.

The later models (1958-1969) had the more sharp-edged form of the middle 60's. Engine performance grew from approx. 150 on up to over 300 HP and the vehicles was clearly larger as four seater than the Urmodell. Starting from 1967 there was even a four-door model.

In the 60's in Songtexten automodels were often mentioned, as also with the Beach Boys: ". .and she'll have fun fun fun 'till ago daddy takes ago T-Bird away"…" In and the 90's 80's the car lost size however ever more at "face" and Bedeutung.Auch and achievement of the original sportsman decreased/went back again.

With the newest edition, starting from model year 2002, a reminiscence was created to the Urversion of this car, which ranks among the most legendary automobiles of the world.
