The Ford models Taunus 12M/15M of the series P6 were produced from 1966 to 1970. A Facelift received the vehicles after the factory holidayses 1968, whereby primarily interior equipment and/or instrument panel was revised. The series replaced the 12M of the series Ford Taunus P4, from which it took over the technical layout (V4-Motor, front wheel drive) in the year 1966. 12M and 15M differed outwardly by different radiator fronts, as well as different headlight, tail lamps and unite equipment details. Starting from 1967 as with the new P7 without the type designation "Taunus" one did.
