The Ford models Taunus 12M/15M of the series P6 were produced from 1966 to 1970. A Facelift received the vehicles after the factory holidayses 1968, whereby primarily interior equipment and/or instrument panel was revised. The series replaced the 12M of the series Ford Taunus P4, from which it took over the technical layout (V4-Motor, front wheel drive) in the year 1966. 12M and 15M differed outwardly by different radiator fronts, as well as different headlight, tail lamps and unite equipment details. There were 2 - and sedans, a combination "tournament" and a The V4-Motoren gave it in different versions:

• 1.2 litres of 45 HP (only model year '68)
• 1.3 litres of 50 HP
• 1.3 litres of "S" 53 HP (only Mj '68)
• 1.5 litres of 55 HP
• 1.5 litres of 65 HP
• 1.7 litres of 70/75 HP

Starting from 1967 as with the new P7 without the type designation "Taunus" one did. Particularly to mention is here still the 15M R-S, which, like that as all R-S vehicles from this time, is today the most looked for model variant. Particularly the versions are particularly desired in lover circles. In the year 1970 the series were replaced by Ford the Taunus (TC), the so-called "Knudsen Taunus".
