Ford Prefect was the name of an autoseries of Ford into Grossbritannien.Die of vehicles 1938 was introduced and to Dagenham, Essex manufactured.

Original Ford Prefect a revision Ford "The of the Ten" was from 1937-39 Model 7W (the premodel) and in addition the first Ford, which was not sketched in Detroit, Michigan. It was manufactured particularly for the British market.

The Prefect was produced with few (small) changes since 1939 in the year 1953. The "Model E93A" of 1939-48 and the "Model E493A" of 1949-53. Starting from September 1953 a completely revised Ford with pontoon body was presented, which until 1959 one manufactured. It were the types Ford Anglia de Luxe, and Ford Prefect de Luxe. A cheap version was Ford Popular "Model 103E"

In addition Ford Prefects were sold in Australia, Canada and Sweden. The Canadian model was adapted specially for left drivers.
