The A. Friedr. Flender AG is a German engine and transmission manufacturer.
The enterprise became to 15. May 1899 of Alfred Friedrich Flender in Duesseldorf rice wood based. Flender with the company Dieckmann & Tangerding in Bocholt fuses 1910. With the completion of the first Flender Variators 1927 the gear construction in Bocholt began. 1969 were restructured the enterprise into a society. 2002 took place a complete reorganisation of the manufacturing at the location Bocholt.
The Flender group manufactures today at locations in Germany, the USA, France, China and India, propulsion technology for the automobile industry, the navigation and for rail-mounted vehicles as well as with the Winergy AG, a 100%igen daughter, for wind-powered devices. In addition the enterprise is an important supplier for environmental technology, crane and conveying engineering and the paper and plastic industry.
