Fischer technique is a building block principle of the Fischer works in forest oh valley, with that, contrary to Lego, which is to emphasis less on the appearance of the models than on the function. The components from nylon (Pa 6) are not one on the other, but into slots against each other en or postponed.

There is a multiplicity of more special parts except the basic modules from plastic such as statics parts, axles, engines, transmission, gear wheels, electronic packages etc.

A high realistic condition proximity can be obtained concerning the function. Therefore Fischer technique is used often also in the plant planning for the building of prototypes to examine for example in order the controlling of a production line.

Originally 1965/1966 Artur Fischer, the founder of the Fischer works, Fischer technique invented only, in order to make for the children of its customers a Weihnachtsgeschenk.


The individual components are sold, similarly as with other building block principles, in the form of compositions. Such compositions are either the usual component systems or special extension sets. The reusability of the individual components is thereby much high and contents of the component systems generally held. Component systems, which contained only guidances for or two models, were for a long time uncommon.

To beginning of the 1980er years was compromiseless functional the offer at components - play figures or components also purely optical function were missing. The offer could fundamental be divided into the following categories:

  • "normal" components (the grey basic modules, liaison vehicles, wheels,"…)
  • Engine (engines, gear wheels (it also in the normal program gave),"…)
  • Statics (props, carriers,"…)
  • Elektromechanik (switch, lamps, electromagnets,"…)
  • Electronics (photo sensors, sum-and-difference amplifier, steps, digital components). To beginning of the 1980 the electronics program contained also optical components (lenses, light conductor, mirror,"…).

The components from the different categories were naturally to each other compatible. The technical and educational requirement of the program became clear also in the "hobbies" - line. Thus in the hobby handbooks in detail technical and physical connections were to the reader by Fischer technique models.

Starting from beginning of the 1980er the offer was revised. Were added play figures and some less technical components as well as "pneumatics" - and "Computing" - line.
