Ferdinand August Maria Franz von Ritgen (* 12 October 1787 in Wulfen b. Dorsten; "Â 14 April 1867 in pouring) was a German medicine professor, and a founder of one of the first nine German birth aid schools.
It was born 1787 as a son of Johann Philipp Ritgen and Marie Louise D'Arton.
