Feodossija, also Theodosia, (Ukrainian , Russian , old-Greek Byzantine Greek Turkishly and krimtatarisch Kefe) (in the Middle Ages Kaffa/'Caffa ''') is a port on the Krim (Ukraine) with approximately 90,000 inhabitants, these is in the majority ethnical Russians. The city is a routistic center.

Probably those took black death epidemic mentioned in the Middle Ages from the Kaffa at that time the European origin, as if infected genueser refugees these after a Mongolian FE storage in the year 1346/1347 along the trade routes of Genova spread.

History

Feodossija became in 6. Century v. Chr. of Greek Kolonisten from Milet as Theodosia based and in chronological sequence of the following peoples one controlled (Greeks (see also: Bosporani realm), Romans, Goten, Byzantiner, Mongol (golden horde/hurdle), Genueser, Turk, Krimtataren). 1783 came Feodossija with the Krim at Russia. 1954 were transferred Feodosija as well as the remaining Krim of the Russian SFSR at that time to Ukrainian CSSR.
