The realizations from its research are for the therapy of numerous diseases such as diabetes, Arteriosklerose and Kreislauferkrenkungen of importance.

Lynen lies on property Rieden in the buried. After it 1982 the Feodor Lynen High School in Planegg were designated. Likewise after it the Feodor Lynen Forschungsstipendium of the Alexander was designated by Humboldt donation, which he managed as a president.
