A feeling troop is a term in the ABC protection. Independently of the organization, which notices the radiation protection, the feeling troop has to find the task a locally not well-known radioactive substance.

Normally a feeling troop consists of a , which are equipped with a dose rate measuring instrument, and a marker, which are equipped with boards and Markierstiften. The third man is supervised and the connection outward the commander of feeling troop, the whole action (evt. with voice transmission) keeps upright. In addition all members of the troop are equipped with dosimeters.

There are feeling troops at police, emergency services, military or fire-brigade.

In Austria there are feeling troops also at Bundesgendarmerie or the district main crews.
