The federation of the foreign banks in Germany registered association is the protection of interests of the foreign banks, Kapitalanlagegesellschaften, institutes for financial service and representative offices in Germany. It has the legal form of a registered association.

The federation promotes the economic interests of its members and understands themselves as their agency in specific transnational, foreign bank or - fund-specific questions in relation to German legislators or the European Union.

The federation has its seat in Frankfurt/Main.
