The federation of German Kriminalbeamter (Abk.: BDK), based 1968 in North Rhine-Westphalia von exchange and Willi Knop, is the unionized professional association of the members of the German Kriminalpolizei and all this in the treatment of criminalities active police member. It is an independent professional association.

The federation of German Kriminalbeamter uses itself for the economic, vocational, social and cultural interests of his members.

Through his working in the political area, in the public and in the police organization the federation of German Kriminalbeamter makes his contribution for the development and progressive criminality control in line with standard usage and of realistic. Its suggestions are based on A) the experiences of the daily argument with criminality, their causes and effects as well as b) of the knowledge and the application of professional Kriminalistik.

The federation of German Kriminalbeamter has regional organizations in all Lands of the Federal Republic and the federation federation for all federal official of Federal Criminal Investigation Office (Federal Bureau of Criminal Investigations) and federal police. The technically considered federation magazine of the Kriminalist appears monthly.

Federal leader of the professional association is since 3 November 2003 Klaus Jansen, Kriminalbeamter from the Federal Criminal Investigation Office (Federal Bureau of Criminal Investigations).
