The Federal Office for post office and telecommunications (BAPT) was an adjustment authority and a predecessor authority of the adjustment authority for post office and telecommunications. The task 1990 of the furnished Federal Office with altogether 55 branch offices in Germany was the permission and Lizenzierung of radio and telecommunication installations. The BAPT was transferred on 31 December 1997 into the adjustment authority RegTP.
