The Falter is a city magazine in Vienna. The Falter was created 1978 and appears weekly (on Wednesdays). Editor-in-chief is Armin Thurnher, its deputy is the culture journalist and Ingeborg Bachmann competition Juror Klaus Falter writes among other things also Hermes Phettberg and Andrea Maria Dusl. For spring 2005 also a regional expenditure of the Falters for the Steiermark appears.

The Falter reports Viennese from left liberals perspective on politics, media, culture and the city life.
