Exploitation means use, use in the positive sense for instance. However the term means pejorativ turned inconsiderate utilization. With the same meaning also the foreign word Exploitation becomes related.

Exploitation (social)

Exploitation by slavery

The exploitation of humans as slaves was already in the antique one (for instance in Sumer, in the antique Greece, in the Roman realm) well-known. The Fronarbeit in the Middle Ages is similarly stored and the body characteristic in the early modern times as well as in the Islamic world.

To massive employments of slave workers it came in the Plantagen in the new world, until the slavery was forbidden there.

The situation of the numerous forced laborers in the Soviet punishing camps (GULAG), in the "reeducating camps" of Eastern Europe and China as well as the situation of the prisoners in the German concentration camps and extermination camps of the third realm corresponds likewise to the exploitation by slavery (see also: Destruction by work, Siberia, Kolyma, Zwangsarbeit in the time of the national socialism).

Until few decades ago children from poor families on farms in upper swabia and Switzerland, the "swabia children in such a way specified" and/or "thing children" hired themselves. Still nowadays Switzerland refuses paying remuneration or smart money.

Also nowadays there is still illegal slave trade, particularly in some states of Africa, Asia and the Near East (see also: The Sudan, Darfur). One can likewise call the Kinderarbeit in many states of the third world a form of the exploitation.

Also one can regard the obligation prostitution, the white slave trade, the woman trade and the child trade (for example from Eastern Europe) as "modern slavery".

There are not exact data concerning the number of the tourists, who exploit children sexually. Rough estimations proceed from approximately 10,000 tourists from Germany.

Also the utilization of the worker of thing children in Switzerland and the swabia children in upper swabia could call "modern slavery".
