In the context of a business startup from unemployment for the request for subsidies by the work agency appraisals of a so-called expert place are demanded to the business plan the founder. This can be selected by the founder freely. An expert statement can also with financing matters (e.g. Loan, subsidies) by the approving financial source (e.g. Promotion of economy development, credit institutes) to be demanded.

Expert places in the sense "§ 57 exp. 2 sentence 2 SGB III (setting text on sozialgesetzbuch.de) are in particular

• Chambers of Commerce and industrie,
• Chambers of trade,
• Professional associations,
• Credit institutes,
• Tax counsel,
• Chartered accoutant,
• Management consultant,
• other institutions (e.g. Attorney, physician, architectural association) and
• Attorneys (they are specialized in commercial law only, so far).

The statement serves the examination on load-carrying capacity of the establishment project. The conditions, which the founder makes the basis of his decision, as well as in particular the profitability preview are examined. The statement of an expert place is quasi a for the plausibility of the establishment concept. Under any circumstances with it a warranty on success effectiveness is not connected. To the elements belong in detail:

• Data to the founder
• Data at the planned establishment time
• Data to the business idea (in some sentences)
• Data for the place of the independence (e.g. own workshop, travel trade etc.)
• Data to the consultant
• Data to the submitted documents (usually personal record, capital requirement and financial programme, turnover and profitability preview)
• Statement on the load-carrying capacity on the basis of the submitted documents as well as the regularly appropriate discussion
• Explanation for the forwarding of the statement to the anforderne institution (e.g. with interim funds or business startup subsidy the work agency)

With the choice of the expert place is to be considered that some places require a fee for the treatment, which frequently between 30 EUR and 150 EUR amounts to. Statements of the IHK and HWK are usually free.
