The executive committee is the operational line of an organization, for example an enterprise or an association.

Most organizations are free in the organization of the executive committee, in most larger enterprises are in the executive committee however a chairman and several members, for example the director/conductor of different production departments/divisions or different fields.

In a corporation the executive committee becomes ("§ 76 FF. AktG) by the supervisory board for maximally 5 years orders. A renewed designation is possible. The executive committee can consist of one or of several persons. The executive committee must be not shareholder and may not not supervisory board member ("§ 105 AktG). If an AG has more than 3 million EUR capital stock, the executive committee must consist of at least 2 persons, if the statute states nothing else.
