The statistic office of the European communities, briefly euro act, is the statistic office of the European union (European Union) with seat in Luxembourg.

It arranges statistics for the countries of the European Union, those from the national statistic offices of the member states (in Germany: Federal Statistical Office, in Austria: Statistics Austria) to be raised and made available. An important role plays euro act with the harmonization of statistic definitions and calculation methods. Thus it e.g. guarantees that the European Union convergence criteria in the individual countries are determined after a comparable methodology.

Euro act provides also regional data for the states of the European Union. It uses GROOVE for the organization of administrative units into classes.
