The Eulenspiegel - the satire magazine is an sow-Irish magazine. It is published since 1995 monthly by the Eulenspiegel GmbH in Berlin. In former times it appeared in the owl mirror publishing house, which was created 1954 in the GDR, and from 1990 to 1995 in the citizen of Berlin publishing house, Gruner + year.

The magazine came out from the satire sheet fresh wind, which appeared since 1946. It accepted 1954 the title Eulenspiegel, after 1950 the independent magazine Ulenspiegel very successful in the post-war period had been received. The Eulenspiegel was the only satire magazine and the most popular magazine in the GDR.

One of the main authors of many years of the Eulenspiegels was Johannes Conrad. Its style was it, which coined/shaped the Eulenspiegel for many decades. It was called also "the Woody everything of GDR humor ". Its "Funzel "- columns were at the broad public like and also in satire circles much admit. Since 1967 caricatures of Barbara Henniger in the magazine are to be found.

The Funzel, a side, which was represented every three months in the Eulenspiegel, enjoyed also because of the fact of special popularity that the picture of a naked woman was to be seen each time. Similarly the pictures of Page-3-Girls of western boulevard newspapers the picture was accompanied by a humorous signature. Beside the magazine the Eulenspiegel was probably the only publication in the GDR, which published act photographies in this kind.

Beside the magazine the owl mirror publishing house continues to exist in Berlin as book publishing house and prepares in its recent publication row its 18. Expenditure for book forwards. (Conditions 2005). One of the most important authors before and after the turn is Otto houses with stories over its age Ego Ottokar Domma.
