After the elementary school it visited the six-form high school and existed 1948 the Matura. Afterwards it completed the "study of the rights" at the University of Vienna. From 1949 to 1955 he was official of contract in the Federal Ministry for social administration. Afterwards to 1959 federal secretary of the Austrian youth harsh suppl. ring, afterwards bank clerk in the central savings bank and Kommerzialbank in Vienna.

1966 he was district party chairman of the Vienna/Margareten as well as national party chairman deputy of the Vienna.
