Ernst Strasser (* 29 April 1956 in Grieskirchen, upper Austria) was from 4 February 2000 to 11 December 2004 Austrian Federal Minister for inside in the governments dish I and dish II.

Its parents were farmers in upper Austria. Strasser studied jurisprudence at the University of Salzburg and 1981 to the doctor of the rights was attained a doctorate there. During the study it led the Austrian student union it carried civil service for 1980 out.

After an activity with the Austrian farmer federation Strasser became 1987 secretary of the Secretary of Agriculture at that time and later vice-chancellor Dr. Josef Riegler. Strasser and the torture

During the term of office Strassers as Ministers of the Interior, on 15 July 2003, died the asylum solicitor Seibane Wague originating from Mauritania with a police employment.
