Ernst Poensgen (* 19 September 1871 in Duesseldorf; "† 22 July 1949 in Berne) was a German Industrieller.

Poensgen originated from a familyfamily family. It studied first mathematics and chemistry in Strasbourg, late mining industry and metallurgical engineering to the TH Berlin Charlottenburg and the Prussian mountain academy in Berlin. it occurred 1895 as a trainee the family business, the of roaring and iron rolling mills.
