Dr. Ernst Gottlob Pienitz (* 1777; "† 30. May 1853 in Pirna) was a German physician and Reformer in the psychiatry.

First from 1807 to 1811 independent family doctor in the punishing and institute for national arm to gate gau, became Pienitz on 8 July 1811 first director of the again opened royal-Saxonian welfare and institute for food supply on the sun stone in Pirna. The opening of the institute became an at the beginning of a Saxonian psychiatry reform in Saxonia, which should become example-giving for the German territorial states. Pienitz made for the first time the healing from spirit patients to the goal. The working methods planned alternative applications, like baths, for the first time apart from moderate means of coercion medicines and early forms of psychotherapeutischer measures. By for the time at that time sensational healing success the professional world became soon attentive to the institute, which its late the call than the German training centre for "mad physicians" should bring in. Pienitz died to 30. May 1853 in its Pirnaer house in the loud brook route and was buried on the Sonnensteiner institute cemetery in the family grave.
