The enterprise ethics is a subsection of the restaurant ethics and concerns itself with the question, which moral value conceptions enterprises should be sufficient. Thus also the question goes, how business winning vines and moral ideals stand to each other. Thereby a special meaning comes to the reason of these moral ideals, since these come of to a time ("small group"), which is no longer comparable with the today's. The today's modern, pluralistische society is characterised by an enormous complexity, with which action-theoretical addition patterns (a cause --> effect) are no longer appropriate due to the danger of the not-intended consequences. For enterprises enterprise-ethical considerations become ever more important due to different impulse forces (among other things progress of the information and communication technology, Pressure Groups, sensitization of the citizens). An enterprise runs the risk, its Licence ton operate, i.e. its authentication on the part of the society to lose if it does not consider moral value conceptions. Examples for this are: Shell (Brent save), Nike (Sweat Shops) or also (baby food).

Conceptional beginnings in the German-speaking countries supply among other things Karl Homann/Ingo Pies/Andreas Suchanek/Christoph with the economic ethics, Peter Ullrich with the Integrativen ethics, refuge stone man/Albert with the discourse ethics and Josef how/as country with the Governance ethics. Contrary to the rather pragmatic beginnings in the anglo American area are these beginnings of rather theoretical nature.
