Embraer stands for the Brazilian airplane manufacturer Empresa Brasileira de S.A.

Embraer, the third biggest aircraft manufacturer of the world, is active both on the civilian and on the military market for airplanes. Beside the head office in Jos DOS Campos in close proximity to Paulo maintains Embraer office and service bases in Australia, the People's Republic of China, France, Singapore and the USA. Embraer is one largest the export your in Brazil. To the year end 2003 the company employed world-wide 12,941 persons.

Embraer was created 1969 by the Brazilian government and is today by the majority in the possession of institutional Brazilian investors.
