Elektroschlacke-Umschmelzverfahren (abbreviation ESU) is arranged a metallurgical procedure for the production of steel with high purity, rigid and thus error free structure. With this procedure a firm steel block is immersed into a cinder bath. The block functioned as energized electrode and melts off. During the passage by the cinder the steel is cleaned and rigidly under the cinder. Such a manufactured steel exhibits improved technological characteristics.
