Firm history

Elektra Bregenz is created in the year 1898 in Bregenz by Friedrich William Schindler in Bregenz.

1948 bring the enterprise the first electric cooker with thermalstatic temperature control of the baking pipe on the market.

1950 beginning of the production of refrigerators

1965 are integrated Elektra Bregenz in the Asea Brown Boveri company.

1981 have the enterprise of 456 coworkers and obtain a conversion of 620 million Schilling (approx. 47 millions euro).

1985 is transferred the Tirolia of works to Schwaz of Elektra Bregenz.

2002 are taken over the company by the Turkish company.

2003 are shifted the company to Vienna.
