Eduard August Friedrich baron von Schele (* 23 September 1805 in Schelenburg; "† 13 February 1875 in Frankfurt/Main) was an Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Hanover and general post office master in Frankfurt/Main.

Schele visited the Lyceum in Hanover and studied from 1823 to 1826 jurisprudence at the University of Goettingen. Afterwards it occurred 1844 the of the Kingdom of Hanover and also for the training of the Crown Prince with was consulted. 1847 he became Minister of Justice, withdrew however with beginning of the Ministry Struve. After a political time-out it stepped 1850 again into the services of the kingdom and became after the death of king Ernst August Prime Minister ("Ministry Schele"). In this Ministry representatives of the aristocracy and the middle class met one another, Schele as also more cult-more and later Ministers of Finance Georg the Bacmeister bent the latters too. The controversy of these parties permitted in the long term no constructional government work, so that the Ministry became to dismiss Schele on 21 November 1853.

1858-67 became Schele director of general post office of the realm post office of the prince Thurn and taxi in Frankfurt/Main, where he spent also his old age. He was buried in Schelenburg.
