DYWIDAG (Dyckerhoff & Widmann AG) became 1865 as long & Cie. Concrete product factory based and belonged also to the large German building companies. The establishment fathers of the enterprise were Heinrich long and William Gustav Dyckerhoff. 1867 with entrance of God-dear Widmann were carried out a Umfirmierung in Dyckerhoff & Widmann kg. In the year 1972 the DYWIDAG with the union of building of Siemens GmbH fused.

2001 fused it united with the walter building AG to walter building AG with DYWIDAG. In February 2005 the fused enterprise requested insolvency. German parts the walter building AG united with DYWIDAG were taken over under the name DYWIDAG building GmbH of the STRABAG.

The Austrian Dywidag was acquired by the owners of the Salzburger building company Hinteregger and is continued as independent enterprise.

Within the clamping technique range the active of DSI DYWIDAG system international was sold at investors.
