Dschaba Iosseliani (Georgian ; * 10. July 1926 in Chaschuri, Georgien; "† 4. March 2003 in Tiflis) was a Georgian criminal, writer and a being lord. 1991 it organized a Putsch against Georgiens first president Swiad Gamsachurdia, was 1992 head of state Georgiens.

Life

It studied Orientalistik at the national University of Leningrad (today sank Petersburg), did not lock the study however. 1948 he was condemned in Leningrad because of bank robbery and sat 17 years in the prison. 1965 it became from the detention to dismiss, went however later because of homicide again into the prison. Altogether it sat more than 20 years in the execution of sentences, developed there to a guidance person of the Soviet criminal caste vory v zakone (dt. thieves in the law).

In December 1991 Iosseliani broke out of the prison and united with revolting members of the Georgian national guard, which led a Putsch against the first president of the independent Georgien. he took over 1992 as a boss of the military advice together with Tengis Kitowani the Georgian government. Iosseliani succeeded it fast to win the monopoly over the Georgian fuel supply. For political stabilization it got the former kp boss and Soviet minister of foreign affairs Eduard Shevardnadze into the first public office.

For center of the 1990er years applied it after Shevardnadze as the secondarymost important man Georgiens. 1995 arranged Shevardnadze the dissolution of the Mchedrioni and accused the of of extensive criminal entangling. In the same year Iosseliani was arrested because of presumed participation in a bomb assassination attempt against Shevardnadze. 1998 he was condemned to a eleven-year old term of imprisonment.

In the spring 2000 Iosseliani was begnadigt by president Shevardnadze. If the Mchedrioni tries to reorganize union of the Patrioten as a political party under the name, failed. Briefly before its death he announced his candidacy to the Georgian parliamentary elections in November 2003. On 26 February 2003 it suffered a cardiac infarct and deceased one week later in a Tifliser hospital.

Iosseliani stepped both in the combat suit and in formal clothing before the television cameras. Sometimes it carried publicly a white suit with white fly and white cylinder.
