Dresden the culture magazine was created 1990 and is with an edition of approximately 38,000 copies (IVW 3/2004) one of the numerous free city magazines in Dresden. It reports monthly on the cultural life of the city and has a program calendar with culture reports and information as well as a classified advertisement part and meeting addresses.

Until 1997 the booklet appeared as sales magazine with the Unterzeile the pictorial of the city. 1997 took place the conversion to a free medium with the sub-title culture magazine. The circulation area extends beyond Dresden to east Saxonia to Kamenz and Zittau. Since 2004 there is also an on-line version.

Is published Dresden the culture magazine of the media of publishing house GmbH, a pure coworker company independent of large publishing houses. The regularly taking place target group analysis of the AWA proves a group of main readers between 25 and 29 years and a range of 2,2 readers per booklet.
