The term DO-it-yourself (or also: D.I.Y., DIY) comes from the English language and means as much as Mach it.

The movement developed into the 1970er year and can be generally called culture of the amateur (contrary to the professional experts or specialists). The term is used however mainly in the reference to do-it-yourself enthusiasts and the subculture of hard core and Punk.

DIY is called to actually see the faith and own Kraft as mainspring for changes. The DO-it-yourself-movement is coined/shaped authority, in relation to passive consumption, established by a faith at self authorization, self organization, improvisation, selfinitiative, and often a distrust in relation to, products of the industry and defaults of the media.
