Remark: The word dispensation has the female in the catholic office language and in Austrian German, in Germany the male Genus.

Church right

In the catholic church right the term stands for a release from a purely church law in a justified individual case, which assigned on request from the bishop or by one from it to it office-holders be given can (see Codex Iuris Canonici, CAN. 85 - 93).
