The direct action (THERE) is published by the trade union free female worker and worker union (FAU) in a bimonthly rhythm. It appears with at present 16 sides in the Zeitungsformat. Since 1977, the year of the foundation of the FAU, it is printed.

Columns are: "Enterprise and society" (NOSE), "global", "background", "slow motion" and "culture". In them current developments are analyzed and published among other things reports by labor disputes and concerned with the history of the syndicalism and Anarchosyndikalismus.

In it publish address of combination the FAU and date, besides give it by "revolutionary mystery" and Comics plentiful "loosening". Directly with the industrial law the short column "paragraph jungle" is occupied.

Special attention earn, which in irregular distances appearing supplements, as e.g. to the agenda the 2010, a which partial edition up to 100.000 copies achieves. The FAU already over 170 expenditures of the SINCE brought out, since the SINCE 170 is it as expenditure for pdf on-line available (left see below).

Predecessor newspapers were the "agreement" of the free combination of German trade unions (until 1914), the "syndicalist" of the free worker union of Germany (until 1932) and "the free society" of the federation of liberal socialists (until 1953).
