Date commercial advisor (English commodity trading advisor, CTA) is the job title for the manager of a special plant product ("Managed Futures") on the basis of Futures contracts.

Originally this job title is reserved excluding companies or persons, which let themselves be registered under proof of an appropriate capability at the US supervisory authority "Commodity Futures Trading Commission" (CFTC) in accordance with the Federal law "Commodity Exchange act". Particularly since also today still some the most substantial Futures stock exchanges in the USA are, it is usually also necessary for CTAs to attain a CFTC registration. CTAs are subject thereby to one at the strongest adjusted regime of supervision of financial market.
