The danger of explosion describes the possibility of an explosion in the technical range, physics and chemistry. The risk of an explosion is present, if at the same time a combustible atmosphere and a potential ignition source are present. The risk must be measured in an endangerment evaluation, be considered the all parameters, how e.g. the composition of the combustible atmosphere and the exact condition of the ignition source judge. The explosion appears usually as inadvertent effect of a planned material conversion (chemical reaction). The erwartbare pressure wave determines thereby the danger area, which (with technical plants is characterized by a yellow-black warning. The measures of the explosion prevention are to prevent explosions after possibility or to reduce at least their consequences to a measure, which does not let endangerments arise.
