Danelectro is a manufacturer for music instruments and accessories, which specialized in guitars, bass guitars, amplifiers and effect devices.

Danelektro was created 1947 of Nathan Daniel. Into the late 40ern the company manufactured on behalf from Sears and Montgomery Ward. 1954 began Danelectro for the first time to build even guitars and basses. Admit became the guitars by their "lipstick tube "- pick-ups.

1956 manufactured Danelectro as first manufacturers a E-bass sechssaitigen in the world, which was copied by other companies such as Fender (Fender VI). This instrument however never became generally accepted.

1966 were bought up Danelectro of MCA. One year later took place the introduction of the line Coral, which of half resonance guitars and electrical Sitars consisted.

1969 came it to the locking of the factory.

Since has itself Danelectro specialized 1990 to drive reproductions of the Silvertone guitar and current guitar effects out.
