The cock foot plants (Ranunculaceae) educate a family of the Bedecktsamer (Magnoliophyta).

The family covers 62 kinds with approximately 2525 kinds, and is world-wide represented, main in the moderate zones of the northern earth hemisphere.

Because all cock foot plants contain Protoanemonin, they are poisonous for humans and animal.

The number of the bloom cladding sheets varies within the family (of 4 bloom cladding sheets for example with forest vines up to many bloom cladding sheets for example with the crowd support herb.
