The German current feed law from 7 December 1990 (federal law gazette part of I P. 2633) came into force on 1 January 1991 and was the forerunner of the renewable energy law and on 1 April 2000 from this was replaced.

It regulated for the first time the obligation of the electrical utilities, electricity from regenerativ processes of transformation decreases and to recompense to have.

"§ 1 range of application

This law regulates the acceptance and the remuneration of river, which is won exclusively from water power, wind force, solar power, dump gas, sewer gas or from biomass in the area of application of this law, by public electrical utilities.

"§ 2 obligation to accept delivery

Electrical utilities, which operate a net for the general supply, are obligated, to remove the river from renewable energies, produced in their supply area, and to recompense the fed river after "§ 3.
