The term continuous camp replenishment (KLA) or Continuous Replenishment (CR) is an automated reorder system, which determines the supply due to actual sales. One differentiates between three kinds of organizing the supply at goods and of dividing the responsibility:

  • Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) - the supplier has the main influence on his storekeeping
  • Buyer Managed Inventory (BMI) - the dealer has the main influence on his storekeeping
  • CO-Managed Inventory (CMI) - the influence on orders are divided

On side the influence scale lies the Buyer Managed Inventory, where the emphasis of the influence is with the dealer. On the opposite side is the Vendor Managed Inventory, with which the supplier possesses a larger influence, by being able to provide order advices due to information from the dealer also. With the CO-Managed Inventory is divided the influence. The influence of the supplier stands thus in this order: VMI > CMI > BMI.

Demarcation

Contrary to the procedures Quick Response, which has the alignment of all at the delivery chain enterprise taken part as a goal, concerns CR only two successive enterprises.
