The federation of German Privatschulen - based in the year 1901 - is the oldest private school federation in Germany with seat in Frankfurt (Main). President of the federation is at present Michael Federal business manager is an attorney and Schulrechtler Christian Lucas.

Legally independent regional organizations exist among other things in Bavaria, Baden-Wuerttemberg /Rheinland-Pfalz, Berlin /Brandenburg, Hamburg /Schleswig-Holstein /Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Hessen, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Thuringia, Saxonia and Saxonia-Anhalt.

In North Rhine-Westphalia the VDH private school federation North-Rhine/Westphalia (VDH North-Rhine/Westphalia) with seat in the state capital Duesseldorf is active. Chairman of the federation is at present Petra Witt. The professional association is approach place and language pipe for educational facilities in free working group (Privatschulen) and their customer. Seat of the federation and its central office is likewise in Duesseldorf. Managing director is an attorney Roman Friemel, which is active as boarding school advisors furthermore for the VDH boardings school.
